 Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

·         Azure account credentials (or an M365 account that has been granted access)

·         Azure Storage Explorer installed on your computer.

Step 1: Download and Install Azure Storage Explorer
  1. Visit the official Microsoft download page: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/features/storage-explorer/
  2. Download the installer for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
  3. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Step 2: Sign In to Azure Storage Explorer
  1. Open Azure Storage Explorer.
  2. Click on 'Sign in' and enter your Azure credentials.
  3. If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled, complete the verification process.
Step 3: Navigate to Your Storage Account
  1. In the left-hand panel, under subscriptions, expand 'Storage Accounts'.
  2. Expand the container you want to retrieve files from.
  3. Expand 'Blob Containers' In this example our files are storage in 'netdocuments'
Step 4: Download Files
  1. Browse the container to find the required files.
  2. Right-click the file and select 'Download'.
  3. Choose a local folder to save the file.
Depending on retention policies and/or permissions you may not be able to edit or delete files. If you need to make changes you can download a copy and change the files locally
