Redirect Local Resources over RDP

Cloud Collective Support Updated by Cloud Collective Support

When using the RDP file, if you are wanting to utilize local devices/equipment you can check if the items are being re-directed to the RDP session by checking the Local Resources setting on the RDP File itself.

To do this you will right-click on the RDP file and select the "Edit" option. (If you are on Windows 11 you will first select the "Show more options" button)

Once the new window opens, you can select the tab that says "Local Resources" and at the bottom there is an option that says "More"

This will show what items are being re-directed over the RDP connection. You can select or de-select any items you wish to use or not use.

Once you make these changes press the Okay button and then go back to the "General" tab and click the "Save" button to save your changes.

This should now allow the items selected to be re-directed to the RDP Session for use.
