Click here to get the app from the play store on you android device.

Instructions

1. On your computer sign into your account at office.com and click next on "More information required"

2. Click "Next" until you see a QR code.

3. Once you are on this screen, you will need to navigate to your authenticator app and scan the QR code.

4. Once you have scanned the QR code and the account is added on the authenticator app, click "Next" and you'll be prompted on your cellphone to enter the 2 digit number.

5. Click "Done" after you have completed the sign in and you have completed the MFA setup including the authenticator app.

After enabling MFA you will be prompted to approve a sign in request by any Microsoft apps that use O365 account, such as OneDrive or Teams. You'll need to enter in your username / password as usual and also approve the sign-in using the notification on the app.

By default Microsoft enables AppLock which requires you to enter your PIN / Fingerprint / Face Recognition before using the authenticator app. If you don't wish to use this additional layer of security follow the steps below.

(Optional) To disable App Lock:

  1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app.
  2. Tap the app's menu button ( ≡ at the top-left for iOS, or ⋮ at the top-right for Android)
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. On the Settings page, scroll down to the Security section.
  5. Tap the On/Off switch next to App Lock to disable this feature.
