How to Send emails as an alias

Cloud Collective Support Updated by Cloud Collective Support

Introduction

The purpose of this guide is to help setup a user's ability to add an email alias as a sending address.

Setting up the Alias in Outlook

  1. In Outlook, open a new email and go to the "Options" tab
  2. In the Options tab, select the "From" button to enable the "From" option
  3. Down below, select the "From" option and click on "Other email address..."
  4. Enter in the alias you wish to send emails from and click "OK"
  5. Your alias should now be listed below your primary email.

Testing Your Alias

  1. In the new email, change the "From" field to your alias
  2. Try sending an email to your primary and check the sent items to see if it has been sent out with your alias

Closing Remarks

If you find that the email you sent to yourself still has your primary email as the sender instead of your alias, please reach out to us at support@cloudcollective.com or calling us at 604-239-2182
