Change Your Netdocuments Login Region

Cloud Collective Support Updated by Cloud Collective Support

This guide explains how macOS users can update the NetDocuments login server used by the ndClick / ndSync applications. This change is required so the apps authenticate against the correct NetDocuments environment.

When You Need to Do This

You may need to update the login server if:

  • NetDocuments says your password is wrong when logging in via the browser
  • ndClick or ndSync prompts for login repeatedly
  1. Locate the NetDocuments icon
  • Look in the top menu bar (upper-right area of your screen near the clock)
  • Find the NetDocuments (ndClick or ndSync) icon in the top menu bar
  1. Open settings
  • Right-click the ndClick / ndSync icon
  • Select Settings (or Preferences, depending on version)
  1. Find the Login / Server setting
  • In the settings window, locate the section related to:
  • Server or Network
  1. Update the server value
  • Change the login server from:

vault.netvoyage.com (US)

to:

can.netdocuments.com (CA)

  1. Save and apply
  • Click Save, Apply, or simply close the settings window (depending on the app)
  1. Repeat for the other ND app if needed
  2. Sign in again when prompted

What to Expect After the Change

  • NetDocuments should connect normally
  • ndClick context menu options should appear in Finder
  • ndSync (if used) should begin syncing as expected
